Number lines help us see exactly where fractions belong between whole numbers!
A number line is like a ruler that shows numbers in order. When we place fractions on it, we can see which fractions are bigger, smaller, or equal. This makes comparing fractions much easier!
How to Place Fractions on a Number Line
1️⃣ Identify the whole numbers - These are your starting and ending points
2️⃣ Divide the space - Split the distance between whole numbers into equal parts based on the denominator
3️⃣ Count the parts - Move from zero to the numerator number of parts
