What is Subtraction?
Subtraction is all about finding the difference between numbers!
When we subtract, we're taking one number away from another to find out how much is left. It's like when you share your cookies with a friend - you subtract the ones you gave away from your total to know how many you have left.
How to Subtract Like a Pro
1️⃣ Line up the numbers by their place values
2️⃣ Subtract from right to left, starting with the ones place
3️⃣ Borrow if needed when the top number is smaller

Parent Tips 🌟
- Make it real: Use everyday items like toys or snacks to practice subtraction. "If you have 8 grapes and eat 3, how many are left?"
- Play store: Give your child play money and have them "buy" items, practicing subtraction with each purchase.
- Use visual aids: Draw pictures or use objects to help visualize subtraction problems before solving them on paper.
